Spanish and other languages:

Latin American Spanish differs little from country to country and is also easily understood by people from Spain. There are high levels of literacy. Some Latin Americans will have lived in other countries and have learned other languages.
  • Research (Holder & Lanao 2000) has demonstrated that over half the community would need an interpreter to access services.
